GVSU Lacrosee impoved to 4-0 on the season with two wins this weekend over regional foe Northern Michigan University 23-3 and CCLA Central Region Oakland University 10-6. Their next game is April 2nd against Aquinas College at 5:00.

GVSU Lacrosse won their second game against D1 Eastern Michigan University. There next game is Saturday, March 28th against Northern Michigan University and Sunday, March 29th against Oakland University.

The GVSU men's lacrosse team won its first game of the season against CCLA Division 1 Central Michigan University 11-10. Next game is March 21st against Eastern Michigan University.

Grand Valley State University Men's Lacrosse is part of the Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association (CCLA). GVSU is in Division 2 along with University of Michigan-Dearborn, Aquinas College, Calvin College, Hope College, Oakland University, Davenport University, Northern Michigan University, Ferris State University, Saginaw Valley State University, John Carroll University, University of Dayton, Carnegie Mellon University, Grove City College, and Taylor University.


Grand Valley is in the Northern Division of Division 2 along with Northern Michigan University, Saginaw Valley State University, Davenport University and Ferris State University.

Accomplishments of the 2008 season

GVSU made it to the CCLA conference playoffs for the second time in its history. The playoffs were held in Saline, MI. GVSU won the playoffs against the Dayton Flyers earning a spot in the National Tournament in Dallas, Tx. In Dallas, GVSU made it to the finals after winning two games against Southwestern University and the University of St. Thomas. They lost to Westminster College  10-17 in the final. The final coaches poll on Collegelax.us put the Lakers at 2nd in the nation.
